For parents who want durability and flexibility for their children, the UPPAbaby VISTA V2 is a top pick. Designed to adapt to your family's needs as they grow and expands, this stroller effortlessly glides over rough terrain.
Where will you most likely use your stroller? Are there grassy parks, sandy beachs, or trails that are rocky? All terrain strollers are built to tackle these types of surfaces.
Baby Jogger Summit X3
The Summit X3 stroller is one of Baby Jogger's most sought-after models. It is a hybrid jogger/stroller that can be used for walking or jogging on any terrain. The large air-filled tires and all-wheel suspension ensure a smooth ride for your baby. Its padded seat reclines nearly flat and is approved by the EC for newborns*. A vented seat top increases the flow of air when the seat is reclined. The included adaptor allows this model to be used with all infant car seat models. It has a one-hand compact folding that is quick and easy.
It is on the more expensive side of all-terrain running strollers, similar to the BOBs. However, it does have many positive characteristics. The single-action breaks have a reassuring clicking sound and are simple to operate even while holding your child. The hand-operated deceleration brake is also handy, especially if you're running up hills.
The handlebar also comes with a remote-action swivel locking system. This allows you to easily switch from swivel mode and back to locked for running without having to bend over and touch the front wheel, which could be dirty or dirty. After you're done, turn the lever to the swivel position.
The Baby Jogger Summit X3 has a large UV50+ canopy with side air vents and peek-a-boo windows. The canopy provides ample protection from the sun and can be adjusted to meet different weather conditions. It is designed to walk at 6 months and jog until 9 months. It can be folded with the fabric handle on seat. It is quick and simple, even if you are holding your child. When folded, it is compact and secured with a Velcro strap.
BOB Gear Alternate Pro
The BOB Gear Alterrain Pro is an extremely rated jogging stroller that boasts superior suspension to ensure your little one enjoys an easy ride. SmoothShox is a specific technology developed by BOB Gear that absorbs bumps and jerks and reduces the impact on your child and yourself. It is different from competitors like the Revolution Flex 3.0 which has an excellent adjustable suspension, but does not have the technology found in the Alterrain Pro.
The massive rear wheel, which measures 16 inches, and the 12-inch front wheel of this jogger are made to glide smoothly over the terrain, and provide excellent maneuverability. The wheels are filled with air to provide a layer of comfort to your baby with the highest performance and durability.
Despite its heavy weight, the Alterrain Pro is easy to maneuver and requires a short time to set up. The Alterrain Pro comes with a user manual, and assembly is not required. The Alterrain Pro travel system is compatible with a variety of infant car seats such as those from Britax, UPPAbaby and Chicco.
Its sunshade earned a higher score than most other sunshade models we examined, covering the knees for exceptional protection from harmful UV radiation. It also comes with a cushioned seat that is sling-style and a reclined back which can be operated by pressing down on a lever using one hand. The cushioned leg rest extends down to the footrest made of plastic for added comfort. The Alterrain Pro is sleeker and more modern than other models of the brand. It also feels more refined. The tubing for the frame is made of aluminum, which is strong and has a minimal flexibility left-to-right. The stitching around the basket, handlebars, and canopy are neat and tidy, and there are no bunched-up fasteners.
BOB Sport Utility
The stroller is available in either a single or duallie version for parents who are serious about their outdoor adventures. It is designed to be used for off-road walks with knobby tires, a high-impact polymer wheel that increases traction. The front wheel is fixed, which provides stability for jogging as well as aids to navigate through difficult terrain. Its modern adjustable suspension takes care of any bumps along the way. It has a handlebar which can be adjusted to fit parents of different heights. It also comes with an enormous storage basket to store all of your equipment.
BOB Sport Utility scored 6 out of 10 which is lower than only the BOB Ironman which is our top-rated model. Its suspension, large wheels and air-filled tires make it much easier to run, and its suspension system and air-filled tires help absorb the impact of rough surfaces than the smaller tires on other strollers (including our other BOB models like the Revolution Flex, and the Thule Urban Glide 2, both of which scored 9).
When it comes to maneuverability in terms of maneuverability, the Sport Utility does very well however it isn't as easy to turn like some of the other models in this review. It is necessary to tip the handlebar to turn. This works well on flat surfaces, but it can be difficult to navigate in tight spaces, such as grocery stores or cafes.
The BOB Sport Utility offers the same safety features as other joggers, including a five-point harness with a hand brake as well as a foot brake. The BOB Sport Utility can accommodate most infant car seat adapters, which are available separately. We found the brakes to be flexible and simple to operate, but we didn't love that you have to use a lever near the front seat to secure the front wheel. This can feel awkward while walking or jogging.
Baby Trend Expedition
This stroller is a great option for families with a tight budget. It has all the necessary safety specs, like a 5-point harness and tether strap, to keep your kids safe during excursions. The handlebar has an extra-wide ergonomically-shaped rubber grip and is foam padded for comfort. all terrain buggies helps you navigate rough terrain and hills. It has a huge bin that can store two or more drinks, which is very useful when you're on an extended trip.

The Expedition is a jogger with infant car seats which makes it a great option for parents with small ones. It is able to attach Baby Trend or Graco infant seats using the adapter that comes with it. It also has an adjustable lockable swivel front wheel that can be unlocked for jogging, or locked for easy strolling. It also features an adjustable recline seat and a large basket for storage and footrest reflectors to improve visibility in dim light.
The Expedition isn't as great in some categories as our top-scoring models. It doesn't have suspension to help absorb the impact of bumps and uneven terrain which can make it uncomfortable for young kids. The wheels made of metal don't last longer than those with larger tires, so it isn't an option for those with rough surfaces.
Furthermore, the canopy is quite small, which means it's not as a great way to cover or protection from sun. Despite these flaws, the Baby Trend Expedition is an excellent choice for parents on a tight budget seeking an all-terrain stroller. It also has some other convenient features, such as a tray for parents with cup holders as well as the child's tray that has two cup holders.
Out 'n' About Nipper Sport V4
UK brand Out 'n' About has received a plethora of admirers for its range of jogging buggies and this model is their top running buggy. It is lightweight and easy-to-steer however, it also comes with robust 16" wheels that can tackle any terrain. It comes with a fixed wheel that is easy to lock straight while running. But you can also use the lever on the handlebar, and let the front wheel spin when you're walking around or attempting to climb hills.
The suspension is excellent, especially when riding on bumpy and rocky bridleways. The only complaint was that the brake on the handlebar isn't as flexible as we'd like, and the Nipper Sport V4 can't be used with a baby car or car seat (although it can accept an infant insert and an appropriate carrycot for occasional overnight sleeps).
The instructions are easy to follow and we were able to put it together in less than 10 minutes. The hood and seat lining must be fitted by you, but it's not difficult. It just takes patience to insert the harness straps into slots on the padded seat liners. The seat's back comes with a medium-sized bag but it's not enough to accommodate a changing bag.
The Out 'n' About Nipper Sport V4 can be used as early as birth, however it's advised to wait until your child is six months old before you use it for running. This is due to the fact that the harness isn't tight enough to allow a comfortable fit for the newborn, and you'll need to purchase an additional carrycot or insert for newborns.
